Creating a Newspaper Report

This lesson is when the students choose a story they want to write about. They can do this because they have examined a number of stories and the corrects way to write a news report.

• By the end of this lesson students will have put their knowledge of newspaper reports and you will put this knowledge into practise by choosing one of the survival stories to write about.
• Today you will also plan a newspaper report of your own that is based on your chosen survival event.
• Decide which of the sources of information you will write about:
• The Apollo 13 mission
• The Thailand cave rescue
• The Andes plane crash
